Monday Club Nackgammon Grand Prix 2024

The Rules

The Nackgammon Grand Prix comprises the eleven Nackgammon events held on each final Monday of the month (except December).
In each of the sessions, unless there are fewer than four players prepared to take part, one or more Nackgammon 3-point round robins will be staged, and the entry fee will be £0.
There will be an optional £10 side pool available for those who wish to partake.

After a period where two parallel sessions were held -- one online at Backgammon Studio Heroes and one live at the Bristol County Sports Club (a k a Sportsmans) -- the Sportsmans session was discontinued .from the start of 2024

How the groups are organised:
4, 5, 6 or 7 players form a single group;
8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14 players form two equal, or nearly equal, groups;
15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 or 21 players form three equal, or nearly equal, groups;
and so on;
those in the side pool will be spread evenly between the groups.

Nackgammon Grand Prix points will be awarded as follows:
4 players (online): 1st 21 pts; 2nd 13; 3rd 8; 4th 5.
5 players (online): 1st 24 pts; 2nd 16; 3rd 11; 4th 8; 5th 5.
6 players (online): 1st 27 pts; 2nd 19; 3rd 14; 4th 11; 5th 8; 6th 5.
7 players (online): 1st 30 pts; 2nd 22; 3rd 17; 4th 14; 5th 11; 6th 8; 7th 5.

A player's points from all events are are added together, although when more than seven events are entered, lowest scoring events are discarded.
