Our weekly Wednesday online tournament......
has been brought forward this week to Tuesday,
ONLINE at 7.15pm at the Heroes site.
BRISTOL WEEKLY ONLINE TOURNAMENT
The details THIS WEEK:
- Entry to the tournament is £10;
- Two optional furthest progression side pools will be available at £10 and £20, both of which must be won on the night;
- Payment must be made in advance (contact Ian Tarr by email or by text or WhatsApp on 07751 241774 for details);
- At least 90% of the tournament prize pot will be redistributed in prizes on the night;
- The remaining percentage goes towards admin expenses;
- The event will consist of two flights of straight knock-out, if there are at least eight entrants, otherwise there will be a single flight;
- All matches in the main flight will be played to 7 POINTS;
- All matches in the consolation flight (if applicable) will be played to 5 POINTS;
- Our standard tournament rules apply;
- All matches will be played under clock rules, players starting each match with a time bank of 1.5 minutes per point with a 10 seconds delay;
- Tournament Director's decisions are final;
- Four player £10 jackpots will follow the event on demand.
- To be eligible for the tournament, you must be signed up to the Heroes site (see address above) as a Premium member;
- On tournament day, register by 7pm by:
- --(1) paying in advance, getting payment details from Ian Tarr by text or WhatsApp on 07751 241774; and
- --(2) telling Ian your name & Heroes nickname;
- At tournament time be logged in to Heroes in time for the main flight draw at 7.15pm;
- Next to your nickname on the left hand side click on your flag and choose status "tournament ready";
- Once the draw has been made you will see the draw by finding the tournament named Bristol Wednesday Weekly Main (even though it's on Tuesday this week!);
- Then either challenge your opponent or wait to be challenged by them;
- If there have been at least eight entries, all players who lose their opening match will be eligible for the consolation flight (tournament name Bristol Wednesday Weekly Consolation, even though it's on Tuesday this week) -- the draw for which will be performed as soon as the opening main flight matches are complete;
- Prize money will be notified during the tournament to those who have joined the Bristol Backgammon Heroes WhatsApp group;
- Disbursement of prize money will occur by whatever means you request.
